Dear tumblr,
Tomorrow morning at 3:30AM I’ll be flying down to Fort Benning, GA for infantry OSUT, then Airborne school, and then Ranger assessment and selection. I won’t be able to post anything on here or respond to messages in case anyone cares. I’ll be living day by day not knowing what I’ll be doing or what’s happening next so who knows, maybe ill be able to get on here and update it… feel free to ask me any questions if you have any.

My back is stiff when I wake up in the morning. My knees protest those first movements in the morning. I feel old.
I start my day washing back the drug cocktail the Army has me on.Doxycycline for Malaria. Adderall for ADHD. Zoloft for combat stress. Prazosin for nightmares.
In two years of service my body has taken a decade’s worth of wear and tear. For many, this would be a nightmare. For me, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I love my job. I love my life.
